102 potential COVID-19 vaccines are being developed across the globe at the moment to permanently cure the novel Coronavirus that has infected over 3 million people globally, World Health Organisation (WHO) said.
The WHO’s website Thursday published documents that reveals that 8 potential vaccines of the 102 have been approved for clinical trials.
According to WHO, China’s vaccine clinical trial request was accepted today as the WHO only had seven vaccine requests four days ago.
Of the groups approved by WHO for clinical trials on humans, four are from China, one is from England, one is American and another is a combined American and European group. No African request has been approved.
According to the WHO, on March 16, the American National Institute of Health (NIH) became the first institute to start testing in human trial subjects.
