All Lagos residents must read this before stepping out tomorrow,4th May 2020. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has released a list of businesses that won’t resume tomorrow as the state gradually relax the COVID-19 lockdown.
Sanwo-Olu said: “It is a gradual and controlled easing of the lockdown. We will continue to monitor the public health situation; the economic impact of the lockdown and always adjust our responses accordingly.
The Governor said this guidelines would be reviewed in the next 27 days, 31st May 2020.
You would recall that President Muhammadu Buhari while announcing the lifting of the lockdown in Lagos , Abuja and Ogun said the Governors will decide the guidelines unique to their states.
The full list of businesses in Lagos that have been banned from operations include:
- Entertainment centres (event centres, cinemas, arcades, bars, casinos, day clubs, nightclubs, beaches, viewing centres, swimming pools, gyms and all recreation and relaxation centres);
- Salons and beauty parlours (Beauty salons, Spas, barbershops, and public parks);
- Beer parlours;
- Motorcycles (those used for courier and logistics purposes are exempted);
- All public and private schools from primary level to tertiary education.
