Polaris Bank customer whose handle on Twitter is @avogroovy has alleged that there is a crime syndicate in the financial institution.
NAIJA NEWS NG reports that in a Twitter thread, Avogroovy said the crime syndicate in Polaris Bank specializes in “searching the bank database for inactive accounts then siloing the account to wipe them clean.”

It is day 115 since @PolarisBankLtd has made my account dormant, then placed a PND on it after I persistently asked them for access to my money.
Nigerians please tell them to give me access to my and fish out the criminals within the bank’s rank & file perpetuating this crime.
This obvious violation of my rights has caused me immeasurable discomfort, stress, sleepless nights and lost business opportunities.
@cenbank @officialEFCC our money is no longer safe in Nigerian banks anymore and @PolarisBankLtd has gone rogue.
Every sign points to a syndicate within @PolarisBankLtd searching the bank database for inactive accounts then siloing the account to wipe them clean.
At no point did @PolarisBankLtd contact me about my account being dormant or perform due diligence on the death certificate.
We are now at the point where when you save money in a Nigerian bank account you have to set aside money for legal fees to defend & protect your money from crime syndicate within the Nigerian bank system.
Can we just go back to the stone-age of cooperatives and alajo?
50 hours later @PolarisBankLtd still have not officially acknowledged the letter from my lawyer or offered me a concrete plan or path forward towards regaining access to my bank account.
