Benue COVID-19 Index Case Gives NCDC 7 Days To Discharge Her Or Meet Her In Court

Susan Idoko, the Benue state COVID-19 index case, has threatened to sue the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC if she is not released from the Abuja isolation center within the next seven days.
Idoko has been having a faceoff with the government since she was diagnosed with the virus. She has been in isolation for 53 days now without showing any symptoms of the disease. She insists she doesn’t have the virus.
The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire on Wednesday, said Mrs. Idoko had refused to let the NCDC and other medical personnel take her samples so they can do a final test on her before she is discharged
Addressing newsmen in Abuja on Friday May 15, her lawyer, Mr. Steven Eke said his client has lost confidence in the capabilities of the NCDC. He said Mrs. Idoko demands an independent test to be conducted by the World Health Organization under the supervision of the British High Commission and her personal physician.
The lawyer said the continued detention of Mrs. Idoko, in the name of isolation is a clear violation of her fundamental human rights and that she will head to court if it persists.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Health., Osagie Ehanire, at the daily press briefing of the Presidential Task Force in Abuja on Friday, May 14, said he has persuaded Mrs. Idoko to consent to being tested. He says her sample has been taken and the result will be out in a couple of days.

Nigerians React To Tinubu’s Claims Of Not Attending Primary And Secondary Schools

Bola Tinubu has told INEC that he didn’t attend Primary and Secondary schools and that his degree certificates from two American Universities were stolen by unknown soldiers in 1990s during the military junta.
“I went on self-exile from October 1994 to October 1998. When I returned I discovered that all my property, including all the documents relating to my qualifications and my certificates in respect of paragraph three above, were looted by unknown persons.
“My house was a target of series of searches by various security agents from the time the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was forced to adjourn following the military takeover of government of 17th November 1993.
“I was the chairman of the Senate committee on appropriation, banking and finance. I was also a plaintiff in one of the two suits against the interim national government in 1993.
“I went on exile when it became clear to me that my life was in danger,” Mr Tinubu said in his claim to INEC .
The electoral law mandates candidates to submit their personal credentials that will be published for public scrutiny ahead of elections.

Mr Tinubu’s latest claims appear to contradict his previous election submissions, especially in 1999 and 2003 when he ran for office as a governorship candidate in Lagos. He claimed both times that he attended primary and secondary schools.
He said he attended St Paul Children’s Home School, Ibadan, between 1958 to 1964; while his secondary education was at Government College, Ibadan, between 1965 to 1968.
From Ibadan, Mr Tinubu said he proceed to Richard Daley College, Chicago, from 1969 to 1971.
He stated finally to have attended both Chicago State University and the University of Chicago.
The Chicago State University confirmed Mr Tinubu as its student, graduating with a degree in business and administration on June 22, 1979.
All the submissions were, however, challenged as fraudulent by a prominent Nigerian lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi.
Mr Fawehinmi, 1938-2009, argued the matter up to the Supreme Court, which dismissed the case on technical grounds rather than on its merits.
Ikenga Ugochinyere, a political activist in Abuja, said he would challenge Mr Tinubu’s filings in court, accusing him of having committed perjury.
Mr Tinubu “commits perjury as he abandons his earlier claim of attending primary school, sworn in an affidavit to run for governor but now claims not to have attended primary school,” Mr Ugochinyere said in a statement. His “new forms contradict his 2007 affidavit that he has primary school and secondary.”

After you elect a man with no birth certificate, no primary certificate, no secondary certificate, no University certificate as your President and put him in charge of your Central Bank and national resources, see my bio for the next steps.
This is not even about “opposition” or “politics” it’s simple due diligence. As an adult citizen of a country, if you are not at least curious about the identity and background of your potential next President, are you really an adult citizen or a clown?
“He was the Chief Accountant of Mobil” and so fucking what? If Mobil hired somebody without doing their due diligence on his alleged personal background, does that mean a whole country should close their eyes and do the same to elect a President?

Bola Tinubu should be in jail for committing perjury as he abandons his earlier claim of attending primary school, sworn in an affidavit, to run for Governor but now claims not to have attended primary school. Anyone educated person supporting this man is a functional illiterate.
You know asking necessary questions before putting out tweets like this is very important so that you don’t land in trouble. Constitutionally, the minimum a person contesting the Presidential election is required to provide is Secondary School Certificate or it’s equivalent. https://t.co/AXuXKocUiV

“You know asking necessary questions before putting out tweets like this is very important so that you don’t land in trouble. Constitutionally, the minimum a person contesting the Presidential election is required to provide is Secondary School Certificate or it’s equivalent.
If a man presents a higher educational qualification and doesn’t present others, he’s still constitutionally qualified to contest the election as the law presumes that he attended and possesses the lower educational qualifications, except there’s any evidence to the contrary.
In which it’s not a burden on him to prove but to those who claims he didn’t possess the lower qualifications. The constitution does not mandate that you provide all your certificates but the relevant one that you desire to use to contest the office in question.
In fact you can possess higher educational qualifications and still contest only with the lower but minimum educational qualifications. It does not make you less qualified or that you have committed perjury. The constitution allows such flexibility.
The above does not need much of technical knowledge but application of common sense. But I understand it’s a political era and we want to go about with all kinds of propaganda and dirtiness. We need to start playing politics differently from our elders so we can make the changes
“It’s equally verifiable that Tinubu worked with Mobil as an Accountant many years ago before joining politics and working at that level common sensically and presumably suggests that he had primary and secondary educations. Let alone the higher education!”
