Edo Lawmakers who impeached the Speaker, Frank Okiye, have gotten Federal Government’s protection as Abubakar Malami has ordered the Police to protect them.
NAIJA NEWS NG learnt that the Attorney General in a letter to the Inspector General of Police ,Mohammed Adamu , asked that these 17 All Progressive Congress (APC) Lawmakers should be protected to prevent break down of law and order in the state.
Malami said the directive became necessary after a petition was sent to his office by Idahosa-West Chambers. See copy of Malami’s letter to Inspector General of Police below :
After the impeachment of the speaker, Governor Godwin Obaseki spoke about the development and warned anybody trying to create crisis in the state, ‘Go Against Edo And Meet The Full Wrath Of Law:’ Obaseki warned against violence .
