Magu has denied ever confessing to the presidential panel investigating him that he gave Vice President Osinbajo N4 billion from the recovered loot .
NAIJA NEWS NG reports that Magu who has been detained for 4 days now at Force Criminal Investigating Department (FCID) told the presidential panel investigating him that he never had access to the funds so couldn’t have been able to transfer such money to Yemi Osinbajo.
“I did not tell the panel that I gave the Vice President N4 billion” a source told The Nation quoting Magu . The source said that was what Magu replied when he was questioned about Osinbajo.
“Where will I get such money? Do I have access to such funds? It is part of mudslinging. Please clear this. I do not have any control of such cash, I did not order the transfer of N4 billion to the VP or to anybody.”
Also in the news at this time is President Mohammadu Buahri’s approval of Ibrahim Magu ‘s suspension and approval of Mohammed Umar the Director of Operations as his replacement .
“President Buhari has also approved that the EFCC Director of Operations, Mohammed Umar, should take charge and oversee the activities of the Commission pending the conclusion of the ongoing investigation and further directives in that regard.”
