Naija News NG reports that just as it happened at the Kickoff campaign of the ruling All Progressives Congress at the Jos Stadium on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 when the Presidential flagbearer of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu almost blessed PD… instead of his party to win the 2023 presidential election.
Tinubu chanted, “God bless PD…” before he came to his consciousness. He later corrected himself by saying, “God bless APC”.

One would wonder why Tinubu committed such a blunder when he has never decamped from the progressives since he became a politician over 30 years ago.
After the rally, Dino Melaye took to his Instagram page to mock the over 70 years old man.
Dino Melaye’s ‘goofing’, is understandable because he has jumped from PDP to APC and from APC to PDP to the extent that he has lost counts of his cross-carpeting.
Melaye said,
“… have decided that they are throwing away the broom and they are going with the umbrella and you are voting APC everywhere..” before he regained his consciousness.
The Election May Not Hold In 2023 – Charlyboy
Charles Oputa a.k.a Charlyboy has expressed fear over the possibility of election holding in 2023 due to current state of the nation.
Naija News NG reports that Charlyboy said hunger, poverty, the dollar rise, attacks on the offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and a host of other challenges ravaging the entire country may make the powers that be postpone the election.
He spoke exclusively to DAILY POST from the United Kingdom where he is currently spending his holiday.

He said: “There may be no election next year going by what I see. I don’t think that these people who have their stronghold on the nation’s political space are willing to relinquish power to the people.
“I repeat, there may not be an election next year. I have been saying this since last year. The way things are going, I doubt it. Nigeria is on a free fall. I have been saying it for years”.
Speaking on the dollar rise and the state of the economy, CB said: “I was telling my family that a dollar will get to N1500. Look at what is happening now; it’s almost getting to N1000. There you are. The redesigning of the Naira is not a solution. How can it be a solution when you are producing nothing and you are not exporting? So you just keep printing money to pay salaries and you think that’s a solution?
“Do you know what will happen at the end of the day? Because anybody who has money now, will not have tomorrow. If you have 5 million Naira today, some people will think it’s a lot of money, but do you know that every day, that 5 million Naira that you have in the bank keeps depreciating?
“If you give it another 4 months, that money will be worth 800k. So where do we go from there? So it looks like there may be no election next year. Everything points to that fact.”

Tonye Princewill a formr governorship aspirant in Rivers State has said for him it is either Atiku Abubakar or Peter Obi that will get his vote.

According to him, his decision to vote for either Obi or Atiku would be sequel to their presentations on what they have to offer the country if elected president in 2023.

He said, “When I appeared on television to explain my resignation from APC, I did it a month after I actually resigned because I wanted the dust to settle.
“For me, it should be either Atiku or Obi and my decision on any of them will be the product of thought. Let’s hear what they have to offer firsthand, who is serious about growing a winning coalition and then let’s see who they surround themselves with as leaders.
“That will go a long way to determining which of them will get my vote. I don’t want to waste it.”
Speaking on whether the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, would retain power in Rivers State considering the crisis rocking the party, Tonye said PDP would need more work to beat the APC in 2023.
According to him, “If APC in Rivers do not put their act together, PDP might win. It’s not yet late, but there’s a lot to do and they are running out of time. PDP is not more popular, they are just a lot more liquid.
“Therefore they can buy judges, security men, INEC and voters. They can even buy APC members. Money is important. But hard work has no substitute. You need both to win”.

Information reaching us reveals that IPOB founder and Biafra secessionist, Nnamdi Kanu is very sick with three life-threatening conditions .
Naija News NG reports that the legal team of Nnamdi Kanu led by Aloy Ejimakor has written to to Ambassador Samuela Isopi, Head of the European Union Delegation to Nigeria and to the Economic Community of West African States to to prevail on President Buhari to get Kanu released from DSS custody.
In a letter obtained by Naija News on Wednesday, Ejimakor appealed for the diplomatic and humanitarian intervention of the EU Delegation to pressure the Nigerian government to implement the opinion of the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention and the Judgment of the Federal High Court ordering the release of the IPOB leader.
He also asked Isopi to prevail on the Buhari administration to accord Kanu his human right to seek independent medical care for his ailments.
Ejimakor stated that despite the ruling if a court freeing Nnamdi Kanu, the federal government has continued to detain the pro-Biafra activist in solitary confinement while his trial lingers in delays, adjournments, continuances and appeals that have become the norm from when he was first arrested and incarcerated in 2015.
He recalled that on the 20th July, 2022, the UN Working Group rendered an Opinion, stating that Kanu was arbitrarily arrested, tortured and extraordinarily renditioned to Nigeria in violation of international laws and norms.

“Accordingly, the Working Group directed the GON to unconditionally and immediately release Mr. Kanu and accord him the opportunity of seeking reparations.
“On 13th October, 2022, the Court of Appeal of Nigeria delivered a judgment, ruling in the main that Mr. Kanu’s presence in Nigeria is as a result of an impermissible extraordinary rendition. The court accordingly discharged Kanu from all criminal charges pending against him,” he said.
The IPOB lawyer said Nnamdi Kanu is gravely ill with three life-threatening conditions, namely a serious heart condition, hypertension and
low potassium levels.
According to him, all of these conditions demand specialist medical care and
interventions that are not available at the facility where Kanu is being
detained.
He accused the federal government of refusing every request for an independent/specialist medical intervention for Kanu.
Ejimakor asked the European Union governments urgently intervene with the Nigerian government, urging it to, in
the interim, permit Kanu his human right to seek independent medical care for his grave health conditions.
He asked the EU to, “Intervene with GON, urging it to promptly comply with the said Opinion
of the United Nations Working Group, particularly as it pertains to the unconditional release of Mr. Kanu from detention.
“Intervene with GON, urging it to promptly comply with the ratio of the said judgment of the Federal High Court of Nigeria (Umuahia) by restoring Mr. Kanu to his status quo before 19th June, 2021 and otherwise making him whole as was ordered by the court.
“Intervene with GON, urging it to be guided – in all matters relating to Mr. Kanu – by the letters and spirit of the United Nations Working Group
Opinion, the judgment of the Federal High Court of Nigeria (Umuahia), the judgment of the High Court of Abia State and the judgement of the
Court of Appeal of Nigeria.
“Intervene with GON, urging it to cease and desist from further criminal prosecution of Mr. Kanu and to instead constructively engage Mr. Kanu in seeking a political solution to the Biafran question.”

Nigeria Air : No Court Can Stop National Carrier – Hadi Sirika
Hadi Sirika the Minister of Aviation has said the formation of the national carrier, Nigeria Air, will go on despite a lawsuit filed against the Federal Government over it.
On November 11 2022, about eight airlines sued the Federal Government listing Nigerian Air, Ethiopian Airlines, Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, as defendants.
The airlines want the court to stop the national carrier deal and withdraw the Air Transport Licence already issued to Nigeria Air by the Federal Government/Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, claiming that the firm which served as Transaction Adviser for the transaction was incorporated in March last year and alleged that the company was linked to the aviation minister.
Justice A. Lewis-Allagoa gave the temporary injunction following a lawsuit filed by registered trustees of the Airline Operators in Nigeria (AON), Azman Air Services Limited, Air Peace Limited, Max Air Limited, United Nigeria Airline Company Limited, and Topbrass Aviation Limited, the plaintiffs.
The plaintiffs formulated five questions to the court to determine which include;
“Whether the entire process for the sale and transfer of shares of the 1st defendant to the 2nd defendant and its consortium by the 3rd and 4th defendants is in line with the provisions of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (Est.) Act, 2005, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Convention, the National Policy on Public Private Partnership (N4P), sections 76-81 of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act, and does not affect the entire process including the selection, approval or grant to the 2nd defendant and its consortium by the 3rd and 4th defendants is not invalid and thereby entitling the entire process to fresh bidding exercise?”
They also asked the court for;
“A declaration that the entire administrative actions and decisions of the 3rd and 4th defendants in the sale of the shares of the 1st defendant to the 2nd defendant and its consortium is invalid, void and of no effect.
“A declaration that the 2nd defendant was incompetent to bid for shares in the 1st defendant and commence business accordingly
“An order setting aside the entire bidding/selection process(es) for the “Nigeria Air” project as well as the approval, grant or selection of the 2nd defendant by the 1st, 3rd and 4th defendants in the process.
“An order directing the immediate, fresh and transparent bidding process(es) involving the plaintiffs being the indigenous Airline Operators in Nigeria rightly entitled to participate in the process.
“An order directing the immediate revocation and cancellation of the air transport license (ATL) issued by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to the 1st defendant.”

However, speaking during a stakeholders appreciation forum for the successful reconstruction of Lagos airport Runway 18L on Tuesday, November 15, Sirika insisted that airlines, aviation stakeholders and unions had sufficient time to take part in the project, rather than waste time trying to stall the national carrier project.
He claimed that he personally engaged domestic airlines to participate in the project but they turned down the invitation because it was not formal.
“I have been very transparent in the processes put in place to deliver the national carrier. If anyone wants to invest in a company, no one can stop them from investing. You can own a company 100 per cent. If anyone wants to invest, why not? We want foreign direct investment.
“Every information or document pertaining to the project is domiciled at the ministry of aviation and Infrastructure Construction Regulatory Commission which are driving processes leading to the national carrier,” Sirika said.
At the headquarters of FAAN last Thursday, three aviation unions, Air Transport Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSAN), the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE) and the Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals (ANAP) met and vowed to resist the minister’s directive to demolish staff quarters and offices of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Nigeria Airspace Management Authority (NAMA) in Lagos. But Sirika says there is no going back on the directive.
“If I have my way, those structures from the local airport to Bristow will be demolished tomorrow and pave way for the emergence of a befitting airport city. Would you not like to see shopping malls, befitting car parks and other support facilities like you find in other parts of the world?,” he said.
