APC Gives Condition For Tinubu To Share Certificate Of Medical Fitness
APC has revealed why Bola Tinubu can not show his certificate of medical fitness.
Naija News NG reports that Felix Morka the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress said this during a Television program .
He also gave the only condition that will make Bola Tinubu to publish his certificate of medical fitness .
“Our candidate, Bola Tinubu is as fit as anyone. I am not saying this to be political. For the purpose of this discussion, you have raised the question of his health. From my knowledge, even though I am not a medical doctor, from observing him, from being around him, engaging with him, and many times over the last few months that I have been at the campaign council, in meetings with him and observing him meeting with others, his schedule will make anyone else, who think they are as fit as fiddle, to actually get dizzy.
“Who says that the older you are, the more vulnerable or the quicker you are to the grave? Who says that? That is the assumption I find a bit disturbing. Because the fellow is an elderly person, therefore he is going to kick the bucket.
“My point is that there is no assumption that should inform our conversation around those who compete. I don’t know of any candidate in this election who has offered us their own medical records. Even the younger ones among them, no one has done that. I am not privy to that and I have not seen anyone,” he argued.
Asked why Tinubu should not start his campaign since the APC is the ruling party, the NPS, said: “Yes, but Atiku Abukabar should start it. Peter Obi may start it. Anyone else may start it. It doesn’t mean that because we are a ruling party, therefore, the initiative to start it must come from us.”
“Because that also played into this whole narrative that a particular candidate may have something about himself that should concern us. I rejected that because that doesn’t support my observation and is certainly not supported by natural occurrences. The people who are younger may even be sicker,” he argued.
He also defended the exclusion of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, from the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), stressing that he will still be part of the campaign.
“My good friend the Vice President has not disappeared. And I am quite sure that in between his responsibility, the vice president, he will contribute and lend his voice, prestige, and authority, to the campaign of our party. I have no doubt about that. But I don’t think we need to make or think too much of the campaign council’s needs”, he said.
On what was delaying the inauguration of the PCC, the ruling party’s spokesperson said, “the fact is that when you try to put together a campaign council for a ruling party, a party of over 40 million people, that is no joke. And in any event, this is a campaign council that every member of our party wishes to be involved in. Keep in mind the candidates of our party competed at our primaries and came out on top.
“Now, a lot of those who made that happen would naturally wish to be involved in the campaign. What you are seeing is an overload of interest and enthusiasm and the desire of party men and women to be involved in the process” he said.
Ngige Has Turned ASUU Strike To Personal Quarrel – Jega
Former INEC chairman Attahuru Jega has said that minister of labour and employment Chris Ngige has turned ASUU strike to personal quarrel .
Naija News NG reports that Jega made this statement during an interview with Arise TV. He added that Ngige is having a personal quarrel with the minister of education and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
He knocked the registration of two breakout of ASUU and trying to proscribe ASUU .
“Unfortunately, right now, the minister of labour is not helping matters. He has turned this into a personal quarrel between him and the minister of education on one hand and between himself and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on the other.
“While many other people are trying to find a way of addressing this situation so that students can go back to school and ASUU can go back to work, he is busy creating challenges.
“He now took the matter to the industrial court, now today, he now registered two unions and he is trying to proscribe ASUU.
“If this is allowed by this government, I think this is a recipe for disaster and it may really create more problems than it can solve on this matter of strike in the universities.”
FG accuses Governor Umahi of stealing World Bank-donated relief funds for COVID-19
In a letter from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) dated August 31 and seen by Naija News NG, the presidency referred to a report from the World Bank, which details its plans.
The World Bank told the Ebonyi government that the decision was taken following allegations such as the non-payment of counterpart funds and failure to start a COVID-19 alleviation scheme, amongst others.
“I am to convey the modest compliments of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and have the honour to draw your Excellency’s attention to a report which revealed plans by the World Bank’s project implementation agencies to shut down their offices in Ebonyi state,” the letter said. “The decision is sequel to the alleged non-payment of counterpart funds, as well as misappropriation of funds of donor agencies by officials assigned by the state government, amongst other sundry reasons.”
Mr Umahi did not reply to The Gazette’s request for comments on the fraud allegation.
The letter dated August 31, 2022, received on September 1, 2022, was signed by David Attah, a director at the SGF’s office, on behalf of Boss Mustapha.
The agencies to be shut down include the Ebonyi State Community-Based Social Development Agency (EB-CSDA), FADAMA, NG CARES and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The letter noted that the federal government’s NG-CARES Programme, funded by the World Bank, was created to alleviate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on citizens, pointing out that the programme had yet to begin in Ebonyi despite the release of the first tranche of $3 million in last February by the financial institution.
The letter also disclosed that Mr Umahi’s government owes EB-CSDA, FADAMA, and MSMEs beneficiaries over 12 months of arrears of salaries dating to July 2021.

It’s really getting funny what’s happening on Arise TV now. Rufai is asking the Lagos APC Women Leader, Jumoke questions about claims she made about building cancer treatment centers and primary health care centres and Madam could not name one when Rufai pressed for details. Hmm.
Mrs Okoya Thomas, APC Women Leader in Lagos is exhibiting such traits already, keeping angry face and sounding combative in her response to questions!!

A country’s greatness is directly proportional to the mindset of its leaders and the raised to power square commitment of its people.
A country’s currency is only as strong as the mentality of its leaders. While all the brouhaha went on last week, the British government defended the pound sterling with 65billion Pounds in one day
