Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Youth Council Worldwide has named Governor Hope Uzodinma as the brain behind the N50 billion lawsuit against President Buhari.
NAIJA NEWS NG reports that the Ohanaeze youth arm revealed that the Governor might have been deceived by the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo to fight the Nigerian President.
They revealed that Governor Uzodinma held an unscheduled meeting with Nwodo on 6th of July after he had filed a case against the president.
“Igbo youths wish to put the record straight for Governor Uzodinma to know the implications of empowering an enemy, who from intelligence reports, made allegedly unpleasant comments against President Buhari immediately after meeting with Imo State Governor in Owerri on Monday 6th July, 2020,” excerpt from a statement signed by President-General of OYC, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, Secretary-General reveals .
The statement also stated that Chief Nnia Nwodo was among the team that sued Buhari.
“Chief Ogbonnia John Nwodo, is among those that sued and petitioned President Buhari in a N50bn lawsuit before an Abuja High Court and any empowerment is channeled towards destabilizing Buhari government.”
“Unknowingly, Hope Uzodinma might have been deceived to start supporting indirectly the litigation against Buhari, where Nwodo and other Southern leaders are demanding N50 billion from Buhari.”
They said Nwodo sidelined two key officers of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Deputy President-General, DIG Hilary Opara,rtd. They also alleged that he has aligned with PDP leaders . They accused Nwodo of oppressing the Secretary-General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dim Uche Okwukwu who backed the Supreme Court’s judgement that made Uzodinma Imo Governor.
“Is Uzodinma not aware that Nwodo pro-PDP Ohanaeze Ndigbo kicked against the Supreme Court Judgement in his favor?
“Is Uzodinma not aware that Nwodo and Ihedioha had perfected to install a successor in Ohanaeze Ndigbo who’s a former PDP Governor from Okigwe Zone?
“Is Uzodinma not aware that most protesters in Abuja and Imo State during his swearing-in as Imo Governor had Nwodo’s input?
“Did Nwodo inform APC Governor, Uzodinma about the N50bn lawsuit against President Muhammadu Buhari? If he did, was Nwodo advised to withdraw from among the petitioners?”
From the points raised could one say that the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide is pro APC , does this not mean that Pro PDP and Pro APC members are battling for political party interests and the interests of the Igbo people?
