Late Obinna Nwafor, Saint Obi’s wife has paid tribute to the legendary Nollywood actor. Linda a top MTN staff said she loves and misses him great.
NAIJA NEWS NG reports that Saint Obi was buried in his hometown, Mbaitoli Local Government Area in Imo State last week.
In a video shared online by Azuh Arinze the Publisher of Yes! Magazine, Linda and the two kids she had with the actor paid tribute to him.
She said, “I believe our (she and Saint Obi) meeting was divinely orchestrated. You were highly domesticated. I miss you. I still don’t know how to feel. This should not have happened. It is very difficult to accept that you are gone, that my children will no longer have a father, and I will not hold your hulky frame again. My children and I pray for you daily. Your death has left us despondent. Losing you to the cold hands of death is my deepest sorrow. Nothing can heal the pain inside. I love you and always have.”
Also, the deceased’s first son, Chidera, noted that his dad’s death had forced him to become a man and grow up in leadership.
He described his late father as a fantastic actor who brought smiles to people’s faces and promised to protect his mother from the preying eyes of the press like his father did.
He said, “Thank you for teaching me the way of life. I know you are watching over me. I have been forced to grow up into leadership. I will lead, Dad. I will protect my mum and siblings, especially from the preying press, as you did while you were here. I will always love you, till we meet again.”
Obi’s only daughter, Nnemdi, said, “Dad, I just want you to know that I love you very much and I miss you. You will always be in my heart and I will always remember the fun times we shared. I wish you lived longer with us. You were a good actor. That is why I want to act and draw. I know you will not be here to watch me grow and do great things. Please watch over me, mummy, and my brothers from heaven. I love you.”
