The Nnamdi Kanu led IPOB were protesting the killing of Christians in Nigeria and Biafran Land . Ezumaibe EL-Shalom reported an update on what happened to the protesters. Read his words below:
There was a court case today being the 11th day of June 2020. The case of those that was arrested in Aba, Abia State by the Nigeria Military after the protest conducted in Aba on 8th day of June 2020 for not putting on Nose mask with Biafra Color.
They were taken from State CID to High Court Umuahia, at Ikot Ekpene Road, Umuahia.
The case was held at Court 6, Magistrate court.
There were seven persons arrested on that day which include:
#Vicent Micheal from Nsukka
#Eberechi Emeka from Obingwa
The court case started by 11:45am at High Court Umuahia.
They were accused of terrorism and disturbance of the peace of the nation.
As of 2:15pm the Magistrate gave out her judgment saying she lacks the capacity to pass judgment based on the tag #Terrorism.
The court case was adjourned to 23th of June 2020.
They were taken back to State CID but the prison warden said that because of COVID19 they are no longer taking people for now until Monday 15th June 2020.
