Ben Ayade of Cross River State and his Special Assistant, Ubi Franklin reportedly lost in the APC Primaries they contested in.
NAIJA NEWS NG reports that Ben Ayade who is also a presidential aspirant was reported to have contested for senatorial ticket while Ubi Franklin contested for house of assembly ticket. According to an earlier report, they lost !
Ayade contested against Adams Cecelia while Ubi Franklin contested against Martin Omni. Governor Ayade got 52 votes while the winner, Cecelia pulled 140 votes.

Ubi Franklin who lost to Martin Omni got 12 while Omni got 17 votes.
The Music Executive has come out to deny this news. Ubi Franklin via Twitter denied he lost the primary ; he also said his boss, Governor Ben Ayade did not submit a senatorial form.
Ubi who contested for the All Progressives Congress ticket for Yakurr constituency 1, stated that he won. He also disclosed that he “sat before an appeal panel yesterday and votes were counted, and it showed he won”.
He tweeted;
Dear Friends disregard any news that I lost Election. I won the election. I sat before an appeal panel yesterday and votes were counted, and it shows I won. Be patient while we wait for the report from the appeal panel. Thank you
In another Tweet, he added that Governor Ayade did not participate in the senatorial election.
Though an APC result sheet showed that Barr. Adams Cecelia won the senatorial election, Ubi stated that : “Governor Ayade did not submit senatorial nomination form, did not go for screening so couldn’t have participated in senate primaries. The Governor is more focused and preoccupied with his presidential ambition and the forth coming primaries
So he was no where near Ogoja local government area where the senate primaries held of which his chief of staff chief martins Ojie Orim won overwhelmingly with 254 votes.
